Behind my designs
My design process begins with inspiration found in the everyday – my grandmother's garden, a friend's cozy nursery, anything that sparks a feeling. I translate these moments into hand-drawn elements, which I then digitize and refine in Adobe Illustrator to create vibrant, vector-based patterns.
Hi, I'm Franzi!
I am a surface pattern and graphic designer, born in Münster, Germany, and now based in Delft, Netherlands.
My Product Design degree provided a foundation in Illustrator and Photoshop, revealing my true passion for graphic design. After two years in the field, I launched my surface pattern design business, driven by a love for creating beautiful illustrations and patterns.
Inspired by nature and travels, my design style embraces happy colors and a playful minimalistic aesthetic. My process blends digital creation in Adobe Illustrator with the personal touch of hand-drawn sketches, either on paper or digitally with Adobe Fresco.
While I adore crafting whimsical designs for babies and children, I also enjoy creating elegant statement wallpapers or colorful stationery items.
